Listening to Selected Text

TextAloud can speak text from any application on your computer that can write to the Windows Clipboard.  Follow these steps:

• Place TextAloud in Single-Article Mode by pressing the Single button on the TextAloud toolbar.
• Use your mouse to select/highlight an area of text you want to listen to.
• Press Ctrl+C.  (Press both keys at the same time)
• You will be prompted by TextAloud to "Copy Clipboard to Speech Buffer".  Click the New button.
• You should now see an article in TextAloud containing the text you selected.
• To listen to the text, press the toolbar Speak button

Tips

• The TextAloud prompt to copy from the Windows Clipboard is configurable, and can disabled if needed.  See Clipboard Options.
• Single-Article Mode can be configured to speak text automatically as it is copied.
